"Music is my life and has been my driving force since learning the guitar in the early 60’s. Blues and its related genres have been my inspiration, songwriting has enabled me to express myself and provide a release for my sometimes confused state. Always working on new projects featuring collaborations both live and in the studio. Presently enjoying the love and warmth from all my new found friends"

News !! January 20th
January arrives with no snow and warmish weather, making those all important gigs easy to get to. Dec was made all the more pleasant by attending a local get together of musos over three days. Organised by Rob Bozas who handles Peter Gabriel’s publishing it brought so many of us together under one roof, resulting in a great concert on the last night.
The residency at the New Inn at Freshford continues to thrive. I try to keep it fresh by inviting various friends along each month. so far Id like to thank Clive Deamer ( RadioHead!!) Dave Hatfield, Trevor Davies, Wade Edwards, Greg Cordez and Ray Colomb.
Coming up in February is Dave Hatfield and guest. The residency has been a great boost to my songwriting progress, monthly deadlines gives me a date to get material ready for.
Speaking of material, my recent batch of songs has me very excited (as new material often does) The Road and Me, Nobody but you, Neighbour neighbour, Real world boogie, Lucky man Life is good, Just a boy, When friends collide, Don’t tailgate me, Take a walk with me, Were all in this together, The last goodbye.
Crikey that’s 12 tunes, never counted em before, ok of we go then, lets get that sorted asap.
My pneumonia seems to clearing at last resulting in the return of my voice, I should have had complete rest but had gigs Id committed to and felt I could cope OK.
Rehearsal with John Broomhall, (Keys) and Mick Candler (drums) are going well and I’m really please to have found yet more talented people to give me a leg up the ladder of life! Having a ‘rosta’ of musos available means I can ‘dep’ when needed making sure the gig goes ahead, only snag is keeping everybody happy!
I have been invited to the Lap steel fest in Dallas as part of the Texas Steel Guitar show, it’s just after Swanage Blues Festival and Seend acoustic night (see gig page) so could well just squeeze it in. Then on to Nashville touting new material and visiting friends
My collaboration with Gary Rudd (Home n Dry) has been going down really on the lap steel forums, it really is a beautiful record and one that Gary and I are very proud of, he was an absolute rock during the making of the record, lets hope we can get out more this year the ‘You can see more of the ’Shackdusters’ here on utube
